Requesting Materials from Cataloging

General Requests

Materials noted as "In Process" in the catalog are available for immediate review and rush processing.

"In Process" items may be requested from the Circulation Desk or a Reference Librarian, or online via the University Libraries General Catalog Services request form. If you opt to use the online form, please be sure to indicate the Law Library as "UB Library that owns the material."

Items are usually available for review within the Law Library within 24 hours of the request. Items are usually available for check out (if part of the circulating collection) within 3 business days.

Faculty Requests

Faculty may alternately opt to utilize the Law Library's Mercury Document Delivery Service to request any library items, regardless of catalog status. Mercury request forms are available in the Mercury mailbox in the Faculty Lounge. Please leave completed Mercury request forms in the Mercury mailbox or give them to a Reference Librarian. Requests may also be submitted by e-mail (mercury@acsu.buffalo.edu) or phone (645-2047).
