UB Wireless Network

UB-affiliates may connect to the Wi-Fi. UB follows the 802.11b Wi-Fi minimum standard. The staff at UBMicro can help you determine if your existing wireless network card is compatible, choose a new wireless card, and install a card. Additional information on wireless network cards is available from UB Computing and Information Technology.

Instructions for configuring laptops for use on the wireless network can be found at the following web pages:

Logon Requirements

Students, faculty and staff need a UBITName to access all of UB's online resources. Students do not have the option to change the UBITName that has been assigned to them, but they must change their password upon initial assignment of a UBITName to ensure security and privacy.

Printing

It is not possible at present to print from personal laptops to a printer in the Law Library.

Law students may print from laptops on a networked printer in the first-floor Student Lounge (located in the coat closet on the west wall) in the Law School
