Everyone who is a New York State resident is eligible for a New York Public Library card which allows access to subscription databases outside the Library. There are two types of NYPL Library Cards:
- Research Libraries: Non-Circulating Collections (required to request books at SIBL)
- Branch Libraries: Circulating Collections

Many corporations, banks, and companies have their own library and some may have reference librarians to help you with research. Ask when you receive your practicum assignment.
