- At check-in, Acquisitions staff creates new item record(s) for replacement binder/volume(s) with internal note "replacement", and counts piece received.
- Acquisitions staff places a green replacement flag inside piece.
- Circulation removes old binder/volume from shelf and places it on DISCARD shelf in Cataloging Department.
- Cataloging staff withdraws replaced binder/volume, and counts piece withdrawn.
