Pocket Parts
- Pocket part(s) that arrive(s) with a new book:
- Needs 525 note about pocket parts (add, if not present). See Notes For Catalogers for examples. Most common form:
525 : : Kept up to date by pocket parts. - Record only base volume on statistics slip. Pocket parts are not counted.
- Write call number on upper left corner of pocket part(s).
- First pocket part(s) received for a book that is already cataloged:
- Add 525 note to BISON bibliographic record to indicate pocket part. Most common form:
525 : : Kept up to date by pocket parts.
NOTE: 525 note should be in bibliographic record only if pocket part is in hand. - Write call number on upper left corner of pocket part(s). Keep pocket part(s) with items requiring end-processing.
