  1. Pocket part(s) that arrive(s) with a new book:
    1. Needs 525 note about pocket parts (add, if not present). See Notes For Catalogers for examples. Most common form:
      525 : : Kept up to date by pocket parts.
    2. Record only base volume on statistics slip. Pocket parts are not counted.
    3. Write call number on upper left corner of pocket part(s).
  2. First pocket part(s) received for a book that is already cataloged:
    1. Add 525 note to BISON bibliographic record to indicate pocket part. Most common form:
      525 : : Kept up to date by pocket parts.
      NOTE: 525 note should be in bibliographic record only if pocket part is in hand.
    2. Write call number on upper left corner of pocket part(s). Keep pocket part(s) with items requiring end-processing.
