Printing lists from Aleph

  • Get to the bottom of a list by using the down arrow or page down button (not the CTRL+End or slide scroll bar)
  • Highlight the last entry and press the F11 key. The print dialog box will appear.
  • If you just want to print, select your printer, click the print button, and you're done.

Saving lists from Aleph as spreadsheets

Option 1: Importing into Excel
  • Get to the bottom of a list by using the down arrow or page down button (not the CTRL+End or slide scroll bar)
  • Highlight the last entry and press the F11 key. The print dialog box will appear.
  • Press the Cancel button.
  • Go to c:\temp\aleph\ Open the latest .htm document -- that will be your list.
  • Right click / Select all
  • Right click / Copy
  • Open blank Excel spreadsheet
  • Click A1 cell
  • Right click / Paste
  • You are Done.
Option 2: Open as Spreadsheet
  • You can also create a spreadsheet by right clicking on the .htm document, selecting "Open with" and selecting Microsoft Office Excel. If that program isn't an option, select "Choose Program" from the menu and locate Microsoft Office Excel.
  • When Excel opens, choose
    File >> Save As
  • Choose the location to save this file to and
    select Save as Type: "Microsoft Office Excel Workbook"
  • You are Done.
Option 3: Open as Word document
  • You can open the list in a Word document by right clicking on the .htm document, selecting "Open with" and selecting Microsoft Office Word. If that program isn't an option, select "Choose Program" from the menu and locate Microsoft Office Excel Word.
  • The list should be displayed in table format within the Word document.
  • To save the document, choose
    File >> Save As
  • Choose the location to save this file to and
    select Save as Type: "Microsoft Word"
  • You are Done.
