Law Library Mission Statement

The Law Library's primary mission is to support the research and educational needs of the University at Buffalo Law School community. In addition, as the only research level law library in Western New York, it is an important community resource. Within the limits of its resources, it strives to serve the legal information needs of the University community, the practicing bar, and the public at large.

The Law Library is committed to building and maintaining a hybrid collection that includes a balance of electronic, print, and other non-print material, and to providing expert research assistance and information access services that promote the effective use of the library's resources by its users, whether within the physical environs of the Law Library building or in remote locations.
